hoping someone can help me out, I was banded about two and a half years ago, and haven't had an adjustment for a year and a half  all of a sudden I am very tight , hard to get anything at all down. Just had a upper GI in July and everything looked fine. Could this be a slipped band or what could be happening? I love the band and have lost 62lbs with it. I am hoping this isn't serious and will correct itself. I would appreciate any input at all .  Thanks.

Better safe then sorry many things can go on with the body in 3 months (since your GI).  BUT if you are to TIGHT...do NOT sit back and "hope" it will correct.  The band is NOT meant to be tight...so do yourself, your body, your band, and your peace of mind a break and call the doctor.  Until then keep it liuid, just like when you get a fill and hopefully it's nothing serious.

Get it checked. But it is actually quite common for people who are several years out to get tighter without any obvious reason. I did at about 4 years out. Tiny unfill and I was fine.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Lots of us have that happen, some just get a small unfill, some revise to another surgery, myself I got emptied because it was too expensive to keep paying for unfills.

Do you have any sinus issues?I had an un fill 6 months ago because I was getting two tight and it turned out to be sinus allergies (something I never had before) with the right meds I am not starting to re fill my band. Call your doc and get it checked.  Good Luck to you.

Lapband - Jan 2009 weight goal reached with lapband. Revised to VSG- 1/25/16

Thanks everyone for replies, I am going to see a doctor today to get it checked out. Hopefully it's nothing serious and I can get it fixed and continue on my way. I do love my band!   thanks
