So I just went through a terrible break up. I feel really discouraged and I'm having a hard time getting back on the wagon here...

Before the break up I was down 95 pounds and doing great...I haven't gained anything back but I'm just...having a hard time forcing myself to work out now. He was my work out partner and it's so lonely now. I've asked friends but no one is available at the same times as me so I'm pretty much left to do this myself now.

So yeah anyone have any good advice on how to get outta the blues here?

Can you afford a few sessions with a personal trainer? Either one-on-one or with other people.

At both the gym and the fitness studio where I've worked out, group (maybe 4 people total) personal training sessions were available at a reduced cost per person. Through your gym or trainer, you might be able to find some other people who would like a group training session. Not your friends, but they might become your friends after you work out together for a while.

Have you tried any group exercise classes? I love group classes because I enjoy the social atmosphere and it's a little competitive...I see Jane Doe doing 50 jumping jacks when I can only do 25, and think, "If she can do it, so can I!" And it's so gratifying when Jane gasps, "That was brutal!" when she's done with her 50 jacks.
