Excersise and Guilt

Tomorrow I will be 6 weeks post op and go tomorrow back to my dr and hopefully get my 1st fill.  I am eating what I want in small portions and basically following the diet.  However I feel like in this past month, I haven't lost a pound!!!  I have been walking 2-3 days a week for at least 1 mile and working out on a bowflex.  I feel guilty that I can't do more but because of weather conditions or other responsibilities OR my knee I can't do but that much right now.  I think to myself that IF I haven't lost anything then it's my fault for not making myself do more -sigh-
Has anyone else felt this guilt AND how much do people generally loose in the 1st 6 weeks?

Try not to feel guilt. Reserve that for the days ( which will happen) when you totally blow it for no good reason. This is for life!

And we all lose at different rates. Comparisons can make us feel bad ( or good, of course, but sonehow it is easier for us food obsessives to feel bad!).

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Please stop stressing and enjoy the ride.  As Kate says we are all different body types, starting weight and fitness levels.

I was on liquid for 3 weeks after my surgery and lost 27lbs.  For the next 3 weeks while I started eating slowly again I did not loose another lb.  Week 7 I had my 1st fill and then I lost consistently after that.

Just follow the plan and remember calories in / calories out and the weight will come off.  It will come off at different rates for everyone.  1 -2 lbs per week is the average for the lap band.
Remember, if you want to be a 155 pound person, you have to EAT like one.

HI,
I never really watched calories.  I was a very fit fatty and have always exercised my whole life.  While loosing I ate around 1400 to 1600 calories a day.  I did work out 90 minutes every day so that is why I could eat more and loose.

My Nut instructions were to eat a min of 90 grams of protein a day, keep my sugar at 5 grams and under per serving and to drink at least 64 oz of water a day.  I try and only eat complex carbs, 3 meals and 1 -2 snacks.
