just an update

i just wanted to let everyone know who were so nice and responded to my post about my band slip...i ended up back to my doctors office today a week early because my pain and symptoms have gottten worse they did another upper gi today and my band slip has gotten worse so i am scheduled for surgery in 6 days on monday i hope all goes well thank you to everyone who answered my questions before

I sure am sorry you will have to have surgery but it is good that you will get relief from the pain and all. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

I am so sorry to hear that. Are they going to remove it? I had a slip about a year ago, and they empitied it and keep me on liquids for about 6 weeks. I cured itself. I hope you don't have to have it removed.

thank you all for your kind words my doctor is not sure if he can reposition the lap band i have now it is a really big slip he will decide when he does the surgery if he needs to use a new band or if my band has to come out for a few months to let my stomach heal but my doctor and i both agree i want a band back in because i have done so well with it i hope he can fix it without having it out and waiting for everything to heal but whatever my doctor decides i will be ok with it because he is a great doctor and i trust he will do what is best i will keepyou all informed thank you
