Hi Tracy!
I know Longview is a hike, but if you ever want to come to the support group that I lead we'd love to have you join us.  We meet the last Saturday of each month at a library near Seatac Airport.  This months meeting is unique because we're meeting at a member's house in West Seattle, (near the Fauntleroy ferry).  We have a great group of ladies, (all bandsters) and even have some that come from Portland, Salem and Ellensburg!

IF you'd ever like to come or if you want to be on the e-mail list just P.M. me.  We also have a private group on FB so if you do FB friend me there and you can be part of that group (which is fast becoming our favored form of communication!)  Just PM me if you're interested and I'll send you the details of how to find me on FB.

Good luck as you jumpstart your band living!

My surgeon says that 65g is the absolute minimum. If it has been a while since you have been in for a "tune up" you may want to schedule an appointment for a possible fill and to talk to your surgeon and dietitian. Also, see if any support groups are in your area. The office may well have that info.

Also part of the rules;
get your fluids in 64oz. per day minimum of low or no calorie liquids.
eat dense protein
weigh and measure your food
around 3-4 oz. of dense protein and 1/2 cup of veggies
If you aren't full, stop anyway. You should remain free of hunger pains from 3-5 hours after a meal. Any less is a clue that you need a fill.
You don't have to feel full or satisfied. The band doesn't work that way.

Others may have more to give you.
Good luck, Sue

Tracy,

One of the great things about the band is that you can always start over again!

Now, before I make my next suggestion, I need to tell you (and anyone else who's reading this thread) that I'm not promoting my book as much as I'm answering your question (and I am a paid advertiser here on OH)...

Last year I published a book, Bandwagon, that includes the band "rules" as well a lot of other strategies for weight loss success with the band.  The banner ad for the book (and the Bandwagon cookbook) can be seen at the top of the band forum page. Click on the ad to go to my shopping cart.
