I had severe pain in the upper right hand side of my body that traveled down to my abdomen and into my back. It was triggered by eating tater tots... and it was while I was pregnant. It was very, very ouchy.

Get checked before it gets worse! It really gets painful!

Gallbladder is usually exactly the way NM described it.  I haven't heard of it being in the lower left side.  It could be something with your ovaries.  Best to be seen tomorrow if you can!  Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon!

Ever been checked for diverticulitis? Or ovarian cysts?  An ovarian cyst or fibroids can cause a whole lot of pain. I mean, surprisingly much!

Hope you feel better and it's nothing serious.

Gallbladder pain is usually higher. Mine was actually not to one side, but in the center, right below my sternum and radiating through to my back. At any rate, when you're having pain like that, it's best to call your doctor!

My first sign was sudden.  I was woken up in the middle of the night with pain that went from my upper right side-center to my back (almost like someone stabbed you with a knife).  If I hadn't known what the symptoms of gallbladder problems I would have thought I was having a heart attack.  The pain went away after I took some Advil.  It came back every time I ate anything really greasey (like fried chicken).  Each time the attack got worse and worse...finally three years after my first gallbladder attack I had surgery.  I just couldn't deal with it anymore.  My last two attacks landed me in the ER vomiting for hours and in pain.  A year later I got my band.

GB?  Yep, right side under the rib cage.

I agree with N.M., I had ovarian cysts and when you ovulate it can be very painful and if one bursts?  Yikes, great pain.  Constipation can also cause abdominal pain so if you haven't "gone" in days...
I would  call your Dr. and have it checked out.  Lower stomach probably isn't a band issue, but it's always best to call.

Take care!
