Therein lies the beauty of the band.   It's a good thing you're not feeling hungry, especially during the liquid phase which can be challenging.  Simply having the band around your stomach can decrease hunger because it presses on the vargas nerve which is the one that sends the message to your brain signaling appetite.  Your hunger will return as you heal but hopefully will always be less than it was before.  (This is how it worked for me.)  I wasn't hungry during liquids and I had to do them for 3 weeks post op.  My only craving was the desire to have something to chew, crunch, etc.

Post surgery your body is going through a lot of change even if you're feeling pretty good.  It's wondering where all that food is that you used to give it and it's working hard to mend the incisions and other trauma caused by surgery.  Take it easy as you heal.

Until you have a few fills there will come a time when you're hungry and feel like you're not getting enough, but trust me, the small portions that are appropriate for your egg sized pouch are enough to keep you going.  It's hare to wrap your brain around, but it's true!

Congratulations, you're off to a great start!

yes I found that walking when I get head hunger really helps because I get more head hungry than physical hunger   I could not do the protein drinks they made me so sick so that made it tough

I find I have no energy, I went back to work 4 days post op and think it was too soon, I come home and get in the bed.  I am happy with the 20lbs weight loss being on liquids has caused.  I know it will slow down when I start adding food but I'm not worried.  I didn't realize how much food consumed me. I would go to the grocery store 3 times a week and then not eat it and eat junk.  What a mess.

I am 2 weeks post op and am starting to get hungry my stomach growls alot.  I just think about food so much.  I have been able to resist the temptaion to eat or cheat and I haven't advanced my diet without Dr's orders.  I see my doctor in two days and can't wait to eat something , like the nutritionist said in pre-op counseling, You will be dying to eat pureed food.
