What causes erosion

My cousin & had got the lapband together & she just found out today that she had erosion.  I am just a little freaked.

I just got my band removed this week for erosion.
Some of the things associated with erosion are overeating, being too tight, vomiting, etc.
I didn't do any of those things.
It occurs in less than one percent of lapbands, though, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.  Express my condolences to your cousin- it's pretty upsetting.

I am very sorry that you had to have it removed.  She was always trying to eat aound hers & at times did alot of vomiting.

Does it erode because of those things or is it the band tha goes bad by itself & then we  could have those symptoms?
