Different 'stuck' feeling??
This is my first post on here but this is where I can get some feedback with out calling my doctor. I am 2 years out and i have felt the 'stuck' feeling after eating certain foods or over-indulging. Since Sunday I have had a different kind of 'stuck' feeling. when I eat or drink anything it feels as though something is blocking it from moving through the band. I have tried all liquids and it does the same thing. And usually liquids go right through and I can feel it hit my stomach and I get that full feeling from liquid as well. I have not had a fill since last October and have not had an issue like this the whole time I have been banded. Not sure if I should call my doctor or what it could be. Anyone have a similar experience??
Thank you!!

I am sorry this is happening. Always call your dr for questions that involve your band. But with that said I would do liquids (not cold) for 2 days, then mushies for 2 and if still happening then you might need a slight unfill to possibly unblock something.
#1 band rule is always do liquids for at least 24 hours and no solids to give your body and band area rest.
Good luck!

Band removed and feeling alive with energy!
Sounds like sudden tightness is blocking the stoma. While it could be many things I think it's always best to be proactive and have it checked out. It's not worth taking the chance is you can catch a potential issue before it turns critical. I have had sudden tightness from inflamation cause from certain foods with the same result and only a slight unfill has solved the problem.
Please call your doc and get it checked out. If you can't take in liquids and everything is coming back up you probably need an unfill especially if it's been more than 24 hours.
Take care.

This is not uncommon. My band tightened suddenly last fall but it wasn't all the time at first. Unfortunately I kept hoping it would resolve so I waited too long. I had to have a UGI to ensure no erosions or slips. Then I had quite a bit of fluid taken out (half) and had to wait longer to get another fill. They said that by waiting I had allowed every thing in there to get inflammed. It took a couple of months until enough swelling went down so I could get a fill but by then we were out of state and I had to wait an additional 6 weeks. Get yours checked out quickly and you probably won't have to have much removed. Good luck!
