hey everyone im four years post op down 90 pounds six weeks ago i was defilled a cc and he said not to worry it happens after a while come back in a month and we can start all over and i asked should i do liquids he said no small portions.
ok well i didnt gain any weight but i put myself on liquids for five days anyway now alll of a sudden i have restriction like i did when i first got the surgery wtf is going on.im so scared cuz i am so tight ive only been able to do liquids the last few days.the days before i was only able to eat very little.i go back next wensday

Four years out? You know the band is crazy. Hopefully it will loosen up. Try warm liquids, that always worked for me. Mornings used to be liquids only. Of course now I am unfilled. Just call them and tell them what's going on. Wishing you the best.

I guess it's possible that the 6 weeks off did what it was supposed to do and your pouch is back to it's normal size which would be a good thing. However, my rule of thumb is that if things change rapidly for more than 24 hours, call the surgeon.

Call today for peace of mind if nothing else.

Keep us posted. You're in my prayers. I know how scary sudden change with the band can be.

I hope thats what is is becuz i have to drink my liqiuids very slow i get full fast and my chest burns sometimes.I get the same full feeling i did post op which is wierd since its been so long since ive had that type of restriction.i just dont want to ruin my band by having it being eroded or slipped.i dont know the signs of a slipped band but ive been reading

It's a long story but my band is empty yet I have nearly as much restriction as when I first got my band. In my case I think it is a matter of scar tissue build up that keeps it tighter. Now I don't know that for a fact just my theory. If your stomach isn't getting stretched with food it will shrink back down so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Unless you are very worried I'd just be thankful and use your tool.

thank you hislady im going to contiue my liquids just to be safe but im hungry as hell lol.ive had alot of gas through thre back end and some bloating too and sometimes it burns to drink cuz if i eat anything it has to be chewed well god i feel like a new damn bandster .i remeber when i first got banded and couldn't take my vitamins without a pill crusher

I saw that you live in Park Forest ? I work in the heights...

I am 4 years out too & having issues.
Was just half unfilled 2 days ago due to loss of restriction & massive acid reflux

Who is your doctor if you don't mind me asking ?

I just had to leave my doctor in Downers Grove due to insurance issues and am now seeing a docotr in the Olympia fields hospital.
I hope he steers me in the right direction
