Onederland

I had surgery on November 9th of 2010.
My highest weight was 292 in July of 2010.
Surgery weight was 278.  After 2 weeks of liquid diet.

Today I weight 192.

Thats 100 pounds in less then a year.

My last fill was in May of 2011.

For those in a love hate relationship with their band.  I'm so sorry.

But this is for those that are just trudging along.  That little glimmer that it does work really well for some folks.   14 pounds to go until 178 but....my goal was under 200.  My next goal is 190 and anything after that is just icing on the cake....(and well since I can only eat a scoop of icing if I wanted ... )

This week I am down to just a handful of shirts and 3 pairs of jeans that I can wear.  I goodwilled everything else and am panicking in this cold weather with very little to wear.

I haven't been in the gym since April of this year.  I worked waitressing and now cooking all summer long. This month I finally go to weekends only and then (I live in a resort town btw) I am off for the winter.  I can't wait to hit the gym again.

Tomorrow my band could turn on me.  I know these things.  But I've come so far with my tool that I will always be grateful for what it has done.

I am close to canceling my Woman Within account.  Their clothes are almost too big now.

My hair has been my biggest problem so far.  I take the extra vitamins, the biotin the zinc...but to no avail.  It's so scary thin.  I get my  protein...I don't even drink beverages without  protein added it.  So it's just one of those things.

That is all.  I doubt I will be able to say i'm 178 in a month.  I've slowed to just 2-5 pounds a month now.  (course with the work slowing and no gym it's to be expected).  But I'm very  happy so far.

Good Luck to all you Bandsters.  Remember there are happy stories out there.

Congrats to you!  I'm working on being where you are.  I'm barely in "ONEDERLAND," and with my last 2 month history of gain 4lbs, lose 4lbs, I'm scared to eat or even say I'm really there till I get down to 196.  But YOU have made it!   I don't know about you but it's been 12 to 15 years since I'v seen the left hand side of 200.  And I too, at least at this point, have my band to thank for that.  I just couldn't do it by myself.  When I get to 196, I'll post my trip to "Onederland."

Congratulations on hitting wonderland!  You're doing great!  Keep your eye on the prize (good health) and don't lose focus.  You know what works for you, keep at it!  The minute I added refined sugars back into my life after losing 100 lbs I stopped losing.  Now kicking the sugar habit is really tough!

Hopefully your hair loss will stop.  I have a lot of hair so it wasn't visably noticeable, but I was shedding like mad early on.  I has gotten a lot better with time.

Best~

Congrats to you and Debbie...I can't wait to see under 200. Its my fault that I'm not there yet cause I've been chosing foods that I know I shouldn't have. I got a 1cc last week and a lecture from my surgeon. I'm not good on walking or excercise so I really have to be diligent. I had my band 12/15/10. same time as Debbie...What exactly do you eat daily and how much..I just want to see if I'm consuming too much at a meal. Goiod luck both of you with the next 20 lbs.
