Slow Cooker

Hey All,
Over the weekend I finally caved and bought a slow cooker (crock pot).  I was having a bit of trouble with meat at dinnertime.  Last night I used my new slow cooker and made a pork chop recipe.  It was great!!!

To the newbies - you may want to invest in one.  The meat is so tender and juicy.  It just falls off the bone.  There are lots of recipes online (as well as on this site).  Not to mention how nice it was to come home from work and smell dinner all ready to enjoy!

Enjoy your day - be good to yourselves!!!

I agree. Sunday's dinner for me was shredded pork that I cooked in the slowcooker and it was so moist and went down without any trouble.

I love chicken done in the crock pot too-I tend to like the breast meat but have trouble with it usually.

I looooovvvve my crockpot!!!!!!  I have one that is large (roaster size) and I can cook two whole chickens in it.  I split the chickens open in the back and spread them open.  I season them and put just a little water in the bottom.  They are so tender and delicious.

Great idea-I'm gonna try this.  And my mom swears by putting seasoning at the bottom of the crockpot and again on top of the food for thorough seasoning.
