Well I have this really bad cold where I have been coughing up a lot of cold that has been causing me to gag .just wanted to know can this cause my band to slip??

It's not very likely so don't stress on it. Maybe get ahold of your doc and get something to calm the cough just to make your life easier.

Hard coughing can contribute to a band slip, plus it's miserable to live with. I'd ask your doc for some cough medicine.
