Lately I am sad after i come on here. I even feel a little guilty that I like my band.

I know just what you mean. And sometimes I'm reluctant to say that I like my band for fear of jinxing it!

Find another site! I don't mean that to be rude - being serious. I still come here as I have old friends here but I ignore half the threads and just post when people want support.

I now spend most of my time on another board. People on there are positive. Not to say there are no people with problems - there are. But the overall feeling is positive whilst in no way saying the band is perfect or criticising those for whom it does not work.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I think Kate may be talking about the OH Band Grads forum, which is open to people who've been banded more than one year.

There is another WLS support site but OH TOS don't allow me to mention its address and I've heard from people who frequent that site that it is just as full of bickering as OH is.

I used to react (and overeact) to the negativity on the OH band forum but I don't have the time or energy for that any more. I decided to lead by example. I do my best to stay out of toxic discussions and concentrate instead on threads that deal with WLS and other topics in an honest, supportive, non-judgmental way.

Jean, I have found a UK site which I like. Very much more positive. Problems are not ignored but they are talked about in a supportive manner and no one lies in wait to attack!

You would be very welcome but it is a UK board! So you have to learn to talk in stones not pounds and use UK dress sizes!

Can't post link on here but PM me if you are interested.

I understand what you are saying. It's gotten to the point where I feel guilty that my band is working and that I am working my band. I get tired of the doom and gloom.( I'm sorry that some have had no luck with their  band or their surgeon.)  I would like to know where the more positive boards are at?

You and everyone else who loves their bands should not feel guilty. You paid for for your band and if it is working for you then shout it from the roof tops. This board is the perfect place for you. It's also the perfect place for me to share with others how my band injured me. Your post plus my posts make this a perfect place to read and post.
