SV AND HCG DIET 7lbs lost in a week
As usual Bette is right on target! This hoax has been around for as long as I am old and that's 60+ years. It has been proven over and over that this is just a way for someone (not you) to make money. Heck I lost over a hundred pounds eating 500 calories a day when I was in my teens and twenties with no added substances and that is called an eating disorder! Please save your money for cute new clothes or to revise to a different more effective surgery but don't waste it on this nonsense. We see this several times a year here from someone's desperation but it never lasts, as soon as you add food back in it all falls apart and does nothing more than screw up your metabolism more. For your own safety and sanity just say NO!
REALIZE Band on 09/03/09 with
I am not trying to brag or anything so no one take it this way...
I was talking to my husband lastnight about my band and how easy it has seemed to be for me to lose the weight. Much easier that I have seen others post on this site.
I followed all the rules my doctor and nutritionist told me to do (with the exepction of regular exercise) and I have had no problerms going from a size 26 to a size 6 in one year and I have maintained it for the last year. As I got closer to my goal, the weight loss has been hardered (to be expected) and I didn't really lose the last few lbs until I had my tummy tuck almost 3 wks ago (he removed 2.4 lbs).
I know for some the band has completely failed them (I have read it a lot) but for others who have perfectly good working bands are just not following the rules.
Next time you drive through a starbucks think about your band and weight loss.
Do I cheat? YES... I love ice cream and will go for it on occassion, but I also pay for it the next day on the scale... if I want to loose weight... I can't eat the crap. I know this, you know this and we ALL know this...
I agree with those that have said, we went to the extreme to get banded or have other surgery because the diets we have tried just didn't work.
Becareful Faith that you don't ended up in some serious condition that will cause you tons a problems later down the road.

Hello Renea!
First off, I am not here to preach to you at all! I know three people that have done the HCG diet and have had great success with it! I know that they too went in phases and are doing great with it and have kept the weight off for the past 2 years. You really do have to be super strict with what you eat. Good luck to you with it. Just be careful and make sure you listen to your body.
Second, please make sure you talk to your doctor about the band being too tight! My doctor did a fill for me and I couldn't even swallow my own spit! After only 14 hours of being that tight they took fluid out and it has never been the same! I am having all kinds of issues now and I was only too tight for 14 hours! I have an ulcer, reflux, and issues with my throat! Be careful because being too tight can cause serious damage!! If it is only a meat thing, try different meats. Chicken is always hard for me, no matter how it is cooked. I do well with tuna, pork, and tender beef cut in to really small pieces and I just chew it until there is nothing left to chew!!
I am not a doctor and it is not my job to condone a diet because I do not know all of the facts about that diet, just be careful please!!!!
