Hello LapBand Friends :) .. changes with me

I was very honest with myself I could of gone to WW or something else cheaper with a weight loss community but I'm just not in the mood right now to plan meals or figure out my food intake. I still track my calories on myfitness pal and I end up around 1200-1300 cal which is good with me because that doesn't account for my exercise.

Looking forward to my weigh in..

Thanks!

Hi Hermosa
Hey good to hear from you, I can relate to the motivation thing. I lost all of mine from having some problems that started 4 months ago. Had a total unfill for four months gained about 15-20 pounds and could not exercise. Decided to get back on track had a swallow study done (all came back fine got results today )looks like my problem might be sinus issues made appointment with ENT doctor. Quit my stress full job at hospital. Now to get on track and lose the 20 pounds I need to. We will have to stay in touch. Hope all goes well with Jenny Craig it might just be what you need to get your motivation back. Hang in there .. You have came so far already.I

When I have allergies my band gets all gunky and hard for me to pass food.. hope they figure out what's wrong .. Did you decide to retire ? I think once I see sustained loss for a few weeks I will get my MOJO back...

No I didn't retire,  I just quit and took a job with a trucking company. I was to stressed with my hospital job it was gettin way to demanding, working long hours etc Plus I worked in the OR where I had surgery.  So for the last two years I have been watched like a hawk and not a day went by that people didnt ask about my Band just needed to get away from all of it.
I haven't had any problem with food but did have a lot of pressure in my head and soreness in my sinus and throat area thought it might have been the band but guess not.
You will get your MOJO back,  some times we just need a break to quit thinking about our bands 24/7

Hiya Hermosa, Its GOOD to hear from you You are not alone. I thought I might lose my mind waiting for my plateau to finally end. But at 5 months, it finally broke..thank goodness.  Good luck finding  your mojo and getting those last pounds off.   One of the coolest things about this band is you can always re-start.  Here's to fitting into that little black dress at the company Christmas party!  We can do it!

5.0 cc in a 10cc lapband  (four  fills) 1 unfill of .5cc  on 5/24/2011.
.5 fill  March 2012. unfill of .25cc May 2012.  Unfill of .5cc June 2014.

Still with my lapband with no plans for revision. Band working well since

last small unfill.

I did Jenny Craig for a while before I had the band I love Jenny Craig I just can't afford it. But I think it's great and enforces good eating habits. Good luck to you. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your support!! It is a tad pricey but I'm single and it's not that much more than my groceries on my own.

It's great to hear from you, and I'm glad you've worked out a plan for losing the rest of your excess weight. Sometimes it's good to let someone else (a professional) figure out the meals and nutrition while you concentrate on other things (like exercise and recovering from last year's major stresses.

Good luck!

Jean

I didn't want to admit I was leaning on Jenny Craig but then I thought hey maybe there are others struggling like me with and I could offer support. We all know the band only restricts how much we eat but not what we eat so we have to be diligent in our efforts.

I'm finding the foods very filling and a tad more carbs that I'm used to I'm sure it's like 1/4 of cup of mash potatoes but it's delish!! I find m energy level up and I'm not constantly thinking about food..
