Get a job!

There are several posters (you know who you are) that really need to get a job.  You have way too much time on your hands.  Maybe you could volunteer your time and do something productive instead of whining about your failed band.  There is nothing you can post that will change this.  Get an appointment to have it removed and get on with your life.

Hi Kim,

Looking through your "latest posts" shows  that you haven't posted in over a year. Why would you care what anyone else does here?

Those of us who had failed bands went through a lot of misery... physically and mentally.  For people to be so cavalier about it is really quite hurtful. In my case, the band nearly killed me. My surgeon told me to 'get a hobby' rather than take my complaints seriously. I suppose he could have substituted the words, "get a job" and it would have had the same meaning. Thankfully, I didn't listen to him, either.

I too found your little post offensive and unsympathetic. This is a support forum for everyone...not just for those whose band (or other WLS) is working for them. AND, it
is quite presumptious to state that the people who post here often don't have a job. You have
no idea what is on the other side of the screen from you but you do know that we are all here because of a desire to better our health.

But please feel free to post as you wish. I'm not trying to censor you but I am willing to step up and say that was a low thing to say when you have no idea of all the struggles and heartaches here

Thank you...that means alot to me. You should know that your experience is one reason
I won't recommend the lapband in the future. I don't want someone's suffering on my conscience because I recommended they get a band & it just didn't work for them. I will share my experience as I hope you continue to share yours because it really is a personal decision. I DO agree there should be better truthful education about it. Too many believe the advertisers that get paid to make-it-sound-so-easy and don't research to get the real life experience of those before us.

Jolena,

I think it's important that everyone shares their experiences as honestly and straight forwardly as possible, too. I totally agree with you. It's too easy to believe the advertising... they make it sound like it's the end all, be all. And that's a dangerous thing, in my opinion.

I get so frustrated because while I know that not everyone will have the same awful experience I had, I don't want anyone to have it!

Thanks for being compassionate.

Well bless your heart, littledreamer! Might I suggest you go back to your dream world unless you have something constructive to say. Again bless you little pea pickin' heart!

Wow! Your the real emotional, sensitive type aren't you? ;-)

How bout YOU get a job volunteering at the oncology ward of your local hospital and you can tell them to do something productive instead of whining about all the chemo and radiation they have to have b/c of their failed immune system!

Btw..........I give you another 2 years before YOU are the one whining about YOUR failed band! ;-)
