feel like I'm in a dream.....
I just love reading stories like this!
I've been wearing pants that zip for long enough now that I rarely think about stretch pants with elastic waists. The other day I gave a talk about my weight loss journey and held up a 3X top and a ?X pair of jeans to illustrate how big I used to be. When I noticed the elastic waist in the jeans, I had to laugh.
Sometimes it's hard to accommodate new, thinner experiences into our old, fatter mindsets, isn't it?

Congrats! What a great feeling to finally fit into something that didn't seem possible not to long ago. Keep up the hard work!
I think part of my mindset on elastic waist pants is that with the elastic pulling at the waist and the stretchy material, they always looked smaller than they actually were. When I held them up, I was OK with the size they looked like they were, but they REALLY stretched out to fit me. Now jeans were something else. I hated holding them up cause they were more truthful when you looked at them. Now I still have about 35 to 38 lbs to go, and can't quite seem to get to Onederland. But I am no longer filled with self loathing, and I don't hate zippers either.
