It all depends on the person everybody is different so its hard to answer that question.  Some people lose fast and others not so fast .

But you need to look at it this way . Even if you just lose 50 pounds in  a yr that is amazing , and you are in better shape and you got more self esteem going.

I was very bad with numbers and I said to myself all the time and my family I have to hit a 100 pounds by my one yr anniversary this coming Nov. The odds of that happening are slim to none and I am okay with that :o)  There was some very good friends on here that reminded me why I got the surgery in the first place and trust me its not all about the numbers :o)

Dont stress about the numbers please. There is no certain amount weight you have to lose every month, every week or every yr.  As long as you are doing this journey and learning about yourself, changing your eating habits the weight will come off in due time :o)   I got way obsessed that I had to lose this much by this time and it added way to much stress where it actually hurt me in the long run weight wise .

Good luck and hope you are feeling good since your surgery .

It's too individual to set any kind of time frame, I'm 3 yrs out and have lost a whopping 20-25 lbs. where others have lost over 100lb. I hope for your sake you follow them not me!

That's really a question for your surgeon, who (I would hope) knows more than we do about your weight, medications, activities, exercise, and general health.

Average weight loss with the band is 1-2 pounds per week. That average includes people who lost a lot more and those who lose a lot less and people who gained rather than lost weight.
