Went in for Upper Endoscopy this morning.  Here's a fun fact... if you take Ativan regularly (or something like it) the anesthesia doesn't work very well.  I was freaked out before and looks like I damn well should have been.  I was awake and remember every second of it.  I was even trying (and producing) vomit during procedure.  Horrible.  Thank GOD the doctor was nice and works fast.  I could feel it all the way down, WEIRD.

Good news?  Nothing obvious, no hernia, no ulcer, band in a good spot.  He gave me info for GERD and tested me for COL.  So after all that no answers really.  FML.

Thanks again for all your support.  It's meant a lot to me!

Melissa the only thing I can think of that will give you any relief at all is getting that band out as soon as possible. They may not find the problem.

Well I'm sory and glad they didn't find anything. I hate it when a test shows good when I feel something is wrong! I hope they can figure out what the problem is for you! Hang in there and keep us all posted!

Thank you so much for posting this.  It does mean a lot to get support when things not going as planned.  Was it dangerous or horrible because it was weird and  unexpected.
I really prefer not to be put to sleep, would they have given you the option to be awake?  I know is crazy but I think it would be ok for me.

Oh YUK!  I would think your doc would have informed you about the Ativan before the procedure...hello??  Anyway, I'm glad nothing major seems to be wrong, but I know that no answers can be even more frustrating.  You keep pushing HARD to get an answer.  You KNOW something's up; be your own advocate!
