how do I delete my thread?

I started a thread a few days ago that I have had 3 bands, yes you read it correctly, THREE.  I am happy with myself and I was really tired of so many others on here having the **** kicked out of them in a message forum so I thought I would post that mine is working and all is good.  Well enough is enough....  I just want to delete the thread and life goes on.  right?  We are all entitled to our opinions...  and mine is, I am happy with what I have done and if you don't like it..  ummmm go screw yourself...

To those who sent me messages in my support, thanks!

Have a great day everyone...

Karen

You can't delete it yourself. You either could read EVERYTHING and actually maybe listen to those of us who have gone through it... or you could contact member services and beg them to delete it for you.

You'd be doing a service to anyone pre-op, however, if you left it up.  Save someone from making the same mistakes, maybe?

Well, then leave the thread up, I guess.  When you put something on a public forum, you're going to get answers you don't agree with... but it still has information that could help someone who has problems.

Well for as many band failures(and by band failures I mean people who fail with the band and not the band failing) you will have that many and many many more who are successful. Unfortunately there are those on these threads that just don't get it. They failed miserably and blame with bitterness the"cure" and want to spread their hate and discontent to anyone that will read their venom.

I think what you do to your body is 100% your business. No one Else's. If you make the decision to have another band placed then by God do it. And to hell with everyone else. I doubt your surgeon would ever voluntarily do a surgery that was contraindicated. Of course there are those on here that are convinced they know more than any of the surgeons. And those are the scary people on these boards cause they can actually harm you if you take their crappy advise.

You find that you have peace of mind and can enjoy yourself, get more sleep, and rest when you know that it was 100% effort that you gave --win or lose.

Well...at least YOU have a band and it's been working for a whole year and you know, as far as I'm concerned, you really deserve the band.

Her surgeon willingly and voluntarily did perform a surgery that was indeed contraindicated. This is not just an opinion, it's a fact and you can read it for yourself here.

www.allergan.com/assets/pdf/lapband_dfu.pdf

Read under Key exclusion criteria on page 5. It clearly states,

History of bariatric, gastric, or esophageal surgery. Should be excluded from being banded.

This means she was to be excluded from being
RE-BANDED  because she had a history of prior gastric surgery and her band surgeon was negligent in placing a second and third band.

I didn't fail my lap band, in fact I lost most of my weight and to this day have kept all of it off. I am however bitter because of the permanent damage my lap band caused me to live with for the rest of my life through no fault of my own.

Maria,

I have held my tongue  on alot of things in this forum but to wish that on somebody my god what the hell is wrong with you ?   I dont care how pissed off you get in here as to what somebody said , to say something like that to anybody you are one heartless human being.

I dont wish harm to one single person on this forum. I might not see eye to eye with everybody on here but I would not wish anything to happen to anybody on this forum.

I would be totally embarrassed and ashamed of myself making a nasty comment like that , you went way below the belt on that one Maria !!!!!!

You want people to listen to you well you just blew that big time and if I remember correctly Was a Bubble butt came down on your ass many times for making comments like this also .

I am sitting here shaking my head that anybody would make a comment like that to another human being .   If you are that freakin angry over a post then maybe you should walk away and clear your head before you start typing away because right now you look really bad .
