yearly labs??

I had my yearly labs done about a month ago.
My vitamin D level is a little bit low at 31, so I have upped my dose from 1000 to 2000. The only reason why I say it is low, is because I live in North Dakota, so for going into winter where we don't see the sun. By spring it would be really low.
My vitamin B12 level is 977, so that is ok for a band patient. My folate is low at 8.0, so I upped that to 2 mg daily. (I am on a medication that affects absorption of folic acid.
My ferritin is 19.1 (I believe normal low is 18). Is this level low enough to cause fatigue. Just wondering if I should talk to someone about starting some iron.
The rest of my levels were all normal.  Any input is appreciated.

Look around on the DS forum, there's always someone over there who is willing to help out with questions like this. My D was low with my second lap band and I was able to drag it back up by taking 50,000 IU of D a week for three months.

I also do the dry D3 from vitalady at 50,000 iu per crack.  I also take a carbonyl iron (Feosol)  I get it at walmart.  Doesn't plug ya up so bad.

Steve,
How low was your Vitamin D?  I talked to my doctor and she said to up it from 1000 IU to 2000 IU, but I don't think that will be enough with winter coming and all.   She didn't think I should start iron, but I started the lowest dose of iron that is available OTC and I already feel some better as far as energy. Part of that could be because I'm also getting food down.

I don't remember.  But, with malabsorption, I need to take more.  I have an appt on the 28th for my 18 month checkup.  I will have more labs done then.  I am probably way high on D.  I will see.
