Try to hang in there as best you can. I know what you're going through. I lost my dad in May and I am still dealing with the grief. He and I were so close. Not a day goes by that I still don't cry over him. I have joined an online berevement support group at www.dailystrength.com. Perhaps you would want to check it out. I miss my daddy so much too. Sending you hugs.

Awww Sweetie, I am so sorry for what you are going through. I lost an adult daughter four years ago and went back to work as a paramedic 10 days later. After two weeks back I got a call for a cardiac arrest of a 34 year old man. After tod was called I sat with his wife and just held her and sobbed with her. I hurt so badly, but it seemed to impart some strength to her. I was able to give her some advice for dealing with the details that I would not have known had I not just went through the process. The pain sometimes makes you feel as if your insides are being pulled out through your pores, but the intensity will ease a bit after a while. I would never tell you that you will get over it, because you won't but you will smile again, one day. I will be losing my parents, too, and I dread the very thought of going through the valley again, but this time I know that there is the other side.
My prayers are with you,
Sue
