I'm with Pumpkin, please take some time to really investigate all the surgeries, don't rush into it unless or until you are totally sure which is for you. One thing for sure don't always trust the docs, they are only going by the manufacturers info. My doc is an awesome sweet man who I would trust anytime but he's was off on this one and is now doing everything he can to steer people away from the band. So just be very sure before you leap. I thought this would work too but was sadly mistaken!

You haven't done nearly enough research. I would CANCEL surgery, tell them you're sick and reschedule. Then RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH. Good luck.
