Hi my name is Laura Beth & pre-op I was religously visiting this page.  I googled & searched all there was to search & was excited & ready.

I had my surgery 12/11/08 & lost 60 lbs in 6 mons. I was eatting right & exercising 3-4 days a week.  I got pregnant & lost focus.  I am so mad at myself for letting it all go.

I have finally decided my head is in the game.  I have started to get my fills again (i had it emptied when i got pregnant), back at the gym 3 days a week, and now back on here for support.  I think my brain is finally back on track where it was when I had my surgery.

I know people have talked about my lapband being a failure & I am ready to prove them wrong to be proud of myself again.

I just wanted to introduce myself because your going to be seeing alot more of me around here :0)

I was 243 at surgery, and currently 200....i am ready to leave these 200's behind me FOREVER!

I am in the same situation except I did not get pregnant and have a baby. But I have lost focus and have gained 15lbs. I am hating my self for not getting back on track. I think I will try again. If you are willing to try after having a baby. I should get back on track with you. Thanks for the post and the motivation. Good Luck and stay healthy.

Getting the motivation is the hardest part. I had to get my mind back to the way it was when I had the surgery & was full force ready to fight my obesity!!
Thankfully, I did not gain it all back but there is still alot to loose. I do not regret my band for a minute & will be putting it back to work!!!

You can do it!!  Think how much easier it will be to keep up with your baby after you lose more weight.  And---the best news is---you are so close to onderland!!!!!

Laure is is good to see you, and i know you wilI get lots of support here. Congrats on you little one. The good thing about the band is you can start over. I am also starting over again. I had to have my band unfilled due to surgery in March, i had lost over 150 lbs. i wanted to lose about 20 lbs. more. Well needless to say i have gained 30 lbs. so now i want to get 50 lbs. off. I have had several fills but can't seem to get to the sweet  spot i had before surgery. I am really starting over as of today, my husband has just been approved for lapband through insurance, he went for the preop appointment this morning and he is scheduled for surgery Sept. 26  so i am going to go through all of this with him just like i am going to be banded (only no pain for me and i have my band) i am starting the preop diet with him today, maybe it will  be easier for him to have someone to do it with. I am scheduled for another fill Sept 29 th. I told him i with go through the whole process and eat like he does until he is back to normal food. I also think my problem is that i have developed some bad habits again that i have to break. My doctor told me to take a picture of everything i eat with my phone and that way i can go back and look and see what i have eaten, which i think is a good idea and maybe it will help me out. We can do this, and i will be looking forward to seeing you on here again.
