 Hello!
I was just wondering how long it took to feel better after the unfill?
I am feeling a "buldging" feeling to the right of my sternum.  Also, I almost constantly feel like there is something stuck in my throat, even thought I am on liquids so it's impossible that anything is stuck.  This is AFTER the removal of all the fluid.

We removed the fluid because I had been experiencing pain and shortness of breath and some other symptoms.  The doc seems to think the band has slipped but I have lost my insurance and my job so I don't have the money to get the xray yet.  I am looking into options but until then, we have done a complete unfill (had 8cc) in hopes everything will go back to normal on its own.  I'm scared because if it doesn't, I dont have the money for the surgery.  My husband's insurance only covers 50% and on top of that there is an $800 deductable.  I'm barely keeping food on the table right now, I sure as hell don't have an $800 deductable PLUS 50%.
Also, do you, or does anyone know the cost of having the band removed?

On the upside...I lost another 2 pounds when I had been doing more gaining than loosing over the past several months.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and input.. I've had no computer access all day so couldn't respond. I went back to my dr this morning and had another slight unfill and felt better almost immediately. It's amazing what a difference a small amount of unfill makes! The pain in my chest is gone and the burping has stopped. I have an appt first thing Monday morning for an upper GI. Even though I'm feeling better, my PA and I agreed that I should have the test done.just to see how things are looking. Hopefully I was just too tight and there's no slip. I'll keep you informed!!
