5-year Bandiversary!
Happy bandiversary, Tami! And thank you again for inspiring and guiding me when I was a baby bandster.

Maria,
Let me take this opportunity to say, "I'm sorry." Even though we've had vastly different experiences with our bands, you have your message to share, and I respect that. When I've come up against you, I was really just trying to show another side of the story. There are bad band experiences, and there are good band experiences (and sometimes good, then bad!). I just hope that by sharing our stories we keep people informed, and keep the "powers" (surgeons/band manufacturers) aware that there are issues that need to be addressed. There is no *perfect* solution to obesity (yet).

I am sorry as well. I really just want to share my story so hopefully others won't go through what I have with the band.............just as you want to share yours hopeing they will have a similar experience to yours. I really wish we all could have great band experiences. I am always happy to hear of a good band experience..........but at the same time, I can't help but think how much longer will it continue to be a good experience. I'm not meaning this to be a negative post, I say that b/c with the band stats being what they are, when I do hear the possitive stories, I just worry that things will change for those bandsters.
We all got this band to be healthier and happier, and we deserve that! I know that those that have done well with it in the past and then things change for them with the band must be devistated!
I feel guilty for those I encouraged with the band in my first few months with it when I strongly beleived in it, and then they didn't do well with it. That is why I speak up so much. But as for you, I understand your point as well. I remember one post you did several months ago where you stated that you felt bad to think of the ones that didn't get the band b/c of hearing what I have said about it. I would feel sad to know someone got it and didn't do well with it if I didn't speak up. And I know you speak up b/c you believe they can have a band experience like you have had.
So in our own way............we are as vocal as we are for the same reason............b/c we care about others.
