swelling after PB
I had my first case of severe "stuckage" yesterday and it took almost two hours of bringing up slime and one time of partial vomiting before it was all over. I can still barely get down more than a sip of hot tea. I understand everything inside is swollen. I was just wondering how long it will take before I can move on to mushies. I have protein drinks on hand for today.
Any help would be appreciated!

If you can get yourself to an ER and have them hydrate you with an IV then I would do that. Even a sip of tea right now is going to irritate your esophagus and your band. You need to let it rest.
I'm feeling better.. ate some yogurt, one mashed up vienna sausage and peanut butter for breakfast and then yogurt and peanut butter again as my snack (I've been up since 4am) These aren't lasting long, I'm worried about eating a whole container of yogurt, so I split it up. I know this isn't enough, because I get hungry soon again. I'm just afraid of hurling again. I don't think I"m too tight, I ate ok for the first 4 days after my fill. It wasn't until I gobbled and ate too fast that I got stuck. I guess I'm just shell shocked about the whole ordeal. Of course then I scared myself to death reading about everything that can go wrong with the band (which I knew to begin with) and am almost second-guessing my decision to have done this. Originally I wanted the bypass, but my husband kind of talked me out of it. Saying that the band could come out if something went wrong. Yeah, and I'd gain 100 lbs back. I have an anxiety disorder, so this whole episode has me flipping out a bit. Thank you so much for checking on me :)

So glad you're feeling better, and try not to worry. I remember I had quite a few gobbling my food episodes until I remembered I couldn't gobble anymore. You'd be surprised how long it takes for that lesson to sink in.
