Quite a few! And it usually seems to work for them Ask this on the VSG board.

Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I lost my band due do a slippage and will be having the sleeve done in 3 weeks.  My insurance is paying and it was a so easy to get approval.  The doctor's office called it a revision surgery.  Hope that helps.  Good luck to you

Oh lots and lots of bandsters have revised to VSG. The VSG'ers seem to be much happier with their WLS than the bandsters. I would revise to VSG if I could!

Good luck!

I had two bands, one slipped and the other slipped and eroded. I didn't qualify BMI wise for another WLS, but somehow I awoke from having my band removed with a, " Surprise you have a sleeve " surgery

I lost my band in an emergency situation and was sleeved about 2 months later, my insurance covered it all b/c of the complications.

I'm revising to the sleeve next week. I had 2 years of problems with my band. The insurance request went right through and I don't have to do anything prior to surgery. I am 15# from goal at this point. Good luck to you.
