These things are addictive and go down way too easy and the worst part.  A small has 450 calories!!!   I tried one not too long ago unaware of the calorie count. ( STUPID)   I found myself stopping and grabbing one as a pick me up in the evening.  I noticed the scale not moving and decided to research more.  OMG 450 calories extra added to my day.   NO MORE.   I really need a 12 step program to get off them though.  any words of encouragement?

The one rule I was very strict with was, Never drinking anything that had calories in it. I probably only had two beverages a year that contained calories in it. I just find that it's not worth it to me. If I'm going to ingest calories....I want it to be something that I can chew.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I have never actually tried the McDonalds Frappes, but I hear they are awesome. But before I had my lap band I was so addicted to Baskin Robbins Cappacino Blast. I had them maybe 6 days a week, and the crazy thing is we dont have a Baskin Robbins where I live so I had to drive 50 minutes each way to get it. I found that if I didnt have one I would get a headache cause of lack of caffine, also I think I needed a boost  from the sugar rush and not to mention I love the taste. Well I had to do cold turkey from them and only have them maybe once every six months when I am on vacation or something. If I have a craving or need a caffine boost I get an iced drink with nonfat milk from starbucks or wherever. At least I know exactly whats in it, milk, coffee shots, and I can add a small amount of carmel or some sugar free syrup if I want.  I know still not the best for my calories, but I count it as a treat and count the calories as part of my daily totals. But anyway I am glad I am not alone, and I am also glad you see how the calories really add up. Good luck, I know its tough. Jen

I am almost 6 years out and I have a Mocha one every morning (M-F). I got one by accident in the drive thru one day and have been addicted ever since.

I go to work at 5:00 am so they really wake me up. I don't eat in the mornings never have been able to so this is all I have until after 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon so I don't feel bad about it. I would not have one in the evening though because they keep me awake.

I tried to quit cold turkey one week and almost pulled my hair out.....lol.

Um yeah -- I started to drink these when I was having reflux and not eating much -- bad idea.

I now make them at home for about 100 calories (I mix 2 packets of s/f hot cocoa mix with about 1/4 cup of coffee -- mix well to dissolve the hot cocoa mix --- then add about 2 cups of ice and whip it all up in my Ninja blender --- top with whipped cream --- pretty close to the real thing)

These days, though, I am back to 'no liquid calories' ---- best to just avoid them (and wine) for a week or 2 and get it out of my system.

I feel your pain!

I remember getting one on my way to work one morning.  It was so good.  When I got to work, I looked up the calories.  I had been telling my co-workers how yummy it was... then they see me pouring it down the sink.  They said, "I thought you liked it!"  I responded, "I did until I saw how many calories it was!  That was my last one.
