Protein Shakes...
I bought 2 bags at GNC of their brand Whey Protein AMP shakes in vanilla and Chocolate. I still like the flavor. I was banded in January and still have some of the Vanilla. I also keep the Atkins premixed for in a hurry or on the go times. I only rely on shakes when I have a fill now, because my doc says the band works best with protein from food. I added peanut butter to my chocolate, when I was on full liquids and coconut DiVinci syrup at times to have more flavors. I found PB2 and use that now because it has the flavor and protein of peanut butter, but not as many calories. Many who are especially tight in the a.m. start their day with a shake, and move onto food later. For many, it satisfies that "sweet" they want in an acceptable way. I will be back on liquids tomorrow as I will be going for a fill, and though I've turned fills down the last 2 or 3 visits, I definately need one now. Good Luck to you and keep us informed.
I like the GNC Metabolic Whey in chocolate and vanilla. I also add a splash of DaVinci Peanut butter SF syrup -- or whatever other flavor you might like. PB2 which is a powdered peanut butter is also good in the GNC.
I also discovered the Champion Stacker Chocolate Whey. Has a great milkshaky taste to it.
As far as trying different samples, try www.netrition.com They have a sample pack that you can try. There are also the Nectar proteins which are good but just got too sweet for me after a while.
