Lots of reciepes for flouless chocolate cake at allrecipes.com

This is a great website. But I caution you that flourless doesn't mean low fat or low calorie. For low fat/low calorie, try taking a chocolate cake mix and mix it with one can of diet cola and nothing else (coke zero works best for me). Baking times vary from instructions so you have to use the stick test (stick a toothpick in the middle, if it comes out clean it is cooked). This removes all the fat and eggs but there is still flour - Ok unless you are gluten intolerant.
As for crunchy snacks try wasabi peas (very spicy), or other flavored dried peas, pumpkin seeds (unsalted and shelled, usually available at bulk food places), corn snacks (just control how much you eat - but very crunchy and salty).
If you end up eating more salt than usual it sometimes helps to up the water intake - that will help keep your body flushed out.

I agree with you on the rice cakes. The cheddar cheese flavor satisfies my occasional craving for crunchy/salty. The sweet stuff, well I have to really be careful with that or I'll go back over to the darkside of carboholics. Schwans has a 50 calorie chocolate fudge bar that I keep in the freezer that will do the ocasional trick for me. Hope this helps!

Lucky can you eat popcorn ? I eat that at night when I'm wanting something crunchy and salty at the same time :o)
You would think the carbs would be high but its actually not very bad. The Kroger brand I buy you can get four cups of popped corn for like 22 carbs and I never eat that much maybe a cup sometimes two . For carb wise I love it as a snack .

You could play around with almond meal to see if you could make a flourless cake. What is your goal.. to cut the carbs? There are lots of low-carb mixes.. take a look at netrition.com and search for low carb. I know my husband had some stuff called "mini-carb" when he was doing Atkins.
For crunchy/salty.. I like popchips. www.popchips.com
Found various places.. target, booksamillion, drugemporium. online popchips.com or netrition.com

Have you tried microwaving pepperoni slices? You can do the turkey pepperoni which is lower calorie or the real thing. By the time you microwave all the fat out of them to make them crispy, I think their calorie count would be down, plus it's protein. I can't tell you how long it takes, it depends on the microwave, but start with 30 sec intervals. It's a nice salty, crispy snack. Drink lots of water, too, since they're kind of salty.

I love the turkey pepporoni microwaved until crispy and then spread some laughing cow on them. very good snack.
You can also make brownies with a brownie mix and one can of solid pumpkin(nothing esle). It is still high carbs, but sometimes you just have to have that food that is haunting you and then move on.
