Not at all, I got sick in April and my stomache swelled and couldnt eat. My dr totally unfilled me and it helped with eating but then developed heartburn. I continued to get sick lost 20lbs after the unfill cause I had no desire to eat. I also had other crazy symptoms and after being sick for three months I was diagnosed with lupus. My dr says its best to take it out because implants are not good for autoimmune diseases. So I will be finding out soon when the band will come out. Im pretty sad, and really dont want another surgery. My dr wants to revise but im not sure yet what Im going to do.
lapband in 2008 at 298lbs , lowest weight was 183lbs , Band almost killed me and removed in 2011. No revison because to much damage for revision.

Oh I am so sorry. What a horrid thing to happen. I can quite see how any implanted object would not be good for you. I have a close friend who has lupus and hers is very well managed with drugs, hope yours cn be too.

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
