I don't know if this will help you any, but I didn't lose a thing for nearly the first 4 weeks. I did drop inches and sizes though. All I lost was the added weight from the IV solutions so it took me back to presurgery weight. Just hang in there and think of this as the very beginning of a life long journey. You and I didn't get fat over night and just because we have some band around our stomachs doesn't mean we will lose our weight over night, either. The band is simply designed to help you feel as if you don't have real hunger for around 3-5 hours after a meal with dense protein and some veggies. It won't happen until you reach your optimum fill level. It won''t make you lose weight, feel full, stop you from eating too much or the wrong things. I think of it as a tool that gives me a fighting chance where I haven't been able to succeed before. So far mine has done just that. Many people speak of the band as doing 20% of the work while you do 80%.

Don't fret the slow start. Your body will let loose of those pounds at it's own rate, in it's own time. Follow the rules, move as much as you can and you will be at goal sooner than you think.

Good luck, Sue
