Walk with Walgreens

Yesterday I signed up for the Walk with Walgreens program. I got a free starter kit at our local Walgreens: a pedometer, a log book, and a tote bag (the tote bag is cheesy). I went to walkwalgreens.com to register. The Walkwalgreens site has a walk log, member forum, and other basic features.

Logging your miles or steps qualifies you to win a $100 Walgreens gift card and other rewards. Registering puts you on the Walgreens mailing list but you can opt out of most of the e-mail offers.

I'm wearing the pedometer all day because all the steps I take at home and at work count just as much as the steps I take when walking for exercise.

Thanks for the reminder Jean, I've seen that on the local WG billboard and mean to sign up but by the time I get home I always forget.  On my way to register now.

Wondering how many steps there are in an hours step aerobics class?  I forgot my pedometer.. LOL

I found the answer....

It may not be perfectly right, but I'll take it.  I know I worked HARD and was soaking wet at the end of class....

Thanks for the info! I am a walkaholic and usually get at least my 10,000 daily steps. I just signed up.
