You need to call your doctor about the mushy stage. Everybody on here is different when they was allowed mushy foods. I was not allowed any kind of mushy foods for three post  op and no solid foods for six weeks post op.

So , my advice is not to go by what we did on here but call your docs office .

For the first week post op I was allowed broth, my protein drink, water, crystal lite .  . I was not allowed jello or anything like that .

Second week post op I was allowed the jello, the pudding, soups and yogurt

Hi there;

Did your surgeon's office not give you a plan? The only reason I ask is because every surgeon is different. For me it was 5 days clear fluids, 7 days full liquids (including drinkable yogurt, smoothies with no lumps, cream soups etc, 7 days mushies and then real food.  But I stress EVERY surgeon is different. You should contact them for more details.

Well according to the reading material i was given, my first 3-4 days should be clear liquids and the next 5-6 weeks should be a combo of protein and mushies... But its so vaguely written that i dont understand it all. I guess i will have to give his office a call.
