I had a band over bypass on 8/18 I am sitting here thinking what have I done to myself. I have so much gas and its painful I don't remember being in this much pain with my bypass. I just cant help but keep thinking all of this is because I couldn't keep my mouth closed. Now I don't want anything to eat or drink go figure

Aww... I was banded the same day!! Congrats :-) I know exactly what your feeling... Walk around so far I've found that helps with the gas but it makes me burp crazy, to be honest I wish i could just fart it out one good time and be done w/ it... the constant burping is driving me nuts!!!

Anyway good Luck :-)

i was banded aug 16 and i still have the gas..but its hard to burp or toot..actually hurts when i do burp..i still have the chest and shoulder pain from the stuff they pump in our belly doin surgery..walking seems to make it less often but its still there off and on..along w/ pain from where my port is..thats the most frustrating and painful for me..i jus want to be able to crawl in bed at nite to rest and cant even do that..tried turning every which way but its impossible...so its the recliner for me..dont give up and keep walkin hopefully everything will work out...soon!!

Adjustable Gastric Band on 08/15/11
I was banded on 8/15. The gas pressure was horrible. However I walked a ton and the gas is pretty much gone today. No incision pain at all. Good luck.

I was banded on the 12th of August and happy to say all the gassy feeling (GASX & walking helped alot) and shoulder pain have subsided, i am a little tender in the port area, but I just talked to my nurse and she suggested my port is moveable, so i have been trying to pu**** down a bit as it feels like it is touching my ribs...everything gets better with a bit of time. Good luck to us :)
