Ashley, you seemed to be concernedthat those of who are able to eat whatever we want may not lose weight.

For many of us, past diets involved deprivation. No-one can deprive thmselves for ever.

So many follow the same route I took. We eat all foods but in moderation. We make healthy choices 80% of the time. We do not deprive ourselves.

Does it work? Well i lost all my excess weight in 15 months. I got myself back up to a sensible weight, having lost too much and have been happily maintaining for over three years.

Look at the weight tickers of the people you are asking. They are losing!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Sorry, something weird happened to the format and I can't seem to change it!

omg I did the same thing. Had my surgery Aug 11th and I barely followed the liquid diet. It just makes me full so fast I couldn't pig out if I wanted to. But are you loosing weight for sure? Cause I really want to loose weight and if you are then I think I will continue to as well because I had the same issues with the "easy"ness of the whole thing. What happens when we get another fill? We eat less?

I have lost 85 lbs since surgery in Feb and even though I can eat alot of things I don't eat alot. I also try to not eat refined sugar and quick carbs so much. Some days I do better than others it's all a learning process. My downfall is I have to fix dinner for my 2 year old daughter and even though I feed her really healthy she has things like pasta and rice and I have to measure it out or next thing I know I'll eat to much and be sick. I have only had two fills and they have given me restriction but not to much. I think it's about time for one.

The one thing I think I have finally figured out...read all the posts from the succesful bandsters on this forum. Read the what are we eating post, the advise on liquids, mushies, weighing ,measuring etc. I thought I was doing everything right and following all the rules, I was frustrated because I have not lost any weight since Jan. and only 25 lbs. since surgery day. I looked through all of these posts and came up with a menu similar to what was posted in the what are we eating. I lost 3.6 lbs. this week and feel like I am past my stumbling block and will move in the right direction. Thanks to all the Vets who post!!

Wasnt your first task like 21 days of liquids(protein drinks and hydration)? I know its a ***** but its pretty important in my opinion.

I have 15 days left of liquid diet. Its not that terrible but I cant wait till its over.
