Able to eat anything

Hello everyone.  I had my surgery on June 23 and after the first week of feeling lousy, I began to bounce back.  Once I started to feel better, I started to eat food.  Real food, not liquids.  It amazed me that I was able to and got quite the reprimand from the nurse when I went for in my 2 week checkup.  I never even ate mushy foods, just regular food from that first week on.  I had my first fill on August 8 and still am able to eat anything.  No foods cause me discomfort.  I have lost (was 280 before surgery and am now 258) - but it really feels like I have no band at all.  Do you think I need to have another fill?  I have cut back on my food - but my stomach does growl sometimes.  I've heard people have trouble with popcorn, steak, etc. - but not me.  After my first fill the doctor said he'd see me in a month.  Am I able to get another fill before the month is up?  Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.  Thanks!

This is my feeling. The band isn't put in us to restrict us from foods the band is in us to teach us proper portion control.  Like my doc told me Bread, pasta, rice pizza, isn't what got you fat in some ways yes, but what got us fat on them foods was not having proper portion control over them foods.  Eating a whole loaf of hot buttered bread instead of just one small slice with your meal is what got us fat, eating a 1/2 of a pizza instead of just a slice or two is what got us fat and so on .

I can eat anything I want also but now I'm learning the right amount of them foods to eat and how often to eat certain foods.

I still eat pizza but instead of eating it 5 times a week like I use to I eat pizza once or twice a month and I eat a normal serving of about 2 slices .

My doc has always told us if you can go as long as three hrs on a cup of a food and not be physically hungry not head hunger then you dont need a fill.  My doc also likes us to have snacks he tells us to eat two or three snacks a day .  He really pushes the six small meals a day instead of three meals and no snacks.

I don't have any intolerances. I have to be slow with bread or ground beef but there is nothing I can't tolerate. I choose what not to eat. I have good restriction and eat small amounts every couple of hours.

I agree with you!! It is all about portion control... sometimes I will have a donut at work, and people will say "  I thought you can't eat that!!"  I just reply... " I can, but just not the whole PINK BOX!"  one donut is good enough!!  My servings are so much smaller and I only serve myself once... no seconds, or what use to be my case THIRDS....

I pretty much can eat anything but if I eat to much of anything I get pain so I have to really pay attention to my portions. I can eat Pasta Rice but can't eat bread unless it's toasted. Still have problems with some fruit's and veggies.
