 Hello!  First, I want to thank everyone for all the great Trader Joe's ideas you gave me a few weeks ago.  I am in need of some good crock pot recipes for me and my non-banded hubby.  We eat out way too much and our schedules make it hard to cook when we get home from work. Any ideas or recipes would be much appreciated!

Small pork shoulder boneless roast, one onion cut up on top of roast and 1 bottle Original Kraft BBQ sauce.  My family likes the pulled pork.  I eat 3oz with some additional BBQ sauce.  I don't remember the exact cooking time, but on low for most of the day or high for less time. It was on Kraft foods.com.  We might make a bag of frozen broccoli and it's an easy meal.

I made this recipe not so long ago and it came out great but what I also wanted to add is that any leftovers you may have freeze really well.

That's good to know.  Now with our son at college, we will be dealing with leftovers.  : )

Yummm.... my favorite;
Boneless/skinless chicken thighs
marinade such as a lime type, or I use low fat Italian dressing
Dry Ranch Dressing Mix
8 oz. nonfat cream cheese
fresh mushrooms

Place chicken in crock pot (I have even used frozen) and pour marinade or dressing over the top then sprinkle with dry ranch mix. Cook on low (this can be finished quickly if desired). Add mushrooms before finishing if not added in the beginning, and 1/2 hour before serving add the cream cheese till melted.

My hubbie likes it over rice, I eat it plain. Because it makes so much sauce it works for leftovers, too, with out getting too dry.

If you like spicy try chicken legs (skin removed) and/or chicken thighs (skin removed), add can of diced tomatoes and 2-3 tbsps of any of the Patak's curry sauces (available at most supermarkets), mushrooms, diced onions. My favourites are the butter chicken and the tikka masala.  Also VH's Mango curry sauce (whole bottle) poured over chicken, add baby carrots, mushrooms and any other veg you like and leave on low all day, some diced pineapple is also good in it. Yummy!  Add rice as a side for your non-banded hubby! The Uncle Ben's 2 minute microwavable rice packets are a great time saver.

I just heard of a website that actually looks pretty good. It is called bandfriendlyrecipes.com. I saw a few crockpot recipes in there.

I drop 4 - 5 frozen chicken breasts (or un-frozen works) and a bottle of bbq-sauce into the crock pot and let it go all day --- shred with 2 forks and eat as 'pulled chicken'.  Same with beef or pork tenderloin

I also do Chicken/Beef/Pork with a container of fresh salsa and let it go all day --- I eat it with salad and a few crunchy tortilla chips --- my husband wraps it into flour tortillas for tacos or burrittos

After we eat this for a day or 2, I put the left-overs into individual zip-locks and freeze about 1/2 cup at a time -- then I can pull one out in the mornings and by lunch time I have something yummy to toss over a salad
