3rd fill on Monday!!!!
hey hey everyone!!!! I can't wait to get a fill on Monday! I have 6.5 cc in my band and I think I have a 14cc Realize band. I got banded on 3/23, but only 2 fills. I have only lost 2 lbs since the end of June. NOT happy, but I hope and pray this next fill helps me more. I exercise 5-6 days a week for 30-45 min at a time. But hey we shall see....
It was a long road to get this over weight, it will be a long road to get rid of this weight!
Do you guys think the next one will help?

Hi Jamie
I now have 4 fills (8.5 cc) in my 12cc band and only just noticing a difference in my eating now. However I lost 5.5 lbs in the last 4 weeks (when I thought I hadn't lost at all), so have been exercising lots of self control.
You must be getting sooooooooo toned with all that exercise, you must be losing inches even if you only lost 2lbs. Congrats.
Cat.

Hi!
It's so frustrating when you try hard and don't get the results you should! I hope your next fill does it for you!!!!
Do you track your calories, fat, protien and carbs?
I use myfitnesspal.com. Sometimes I have been stunned at the amount of calories in something! It's not just a numbers game only, but the numbers matter. If I don't keep my protein up, even if I eat 1000-1200 calories, I don't seem to lose as fast.
My doc told me to get 80-100 grams of protien, 60 grams or less of fat, and 800-1200 cals per day. He also said to keep carbs below 200. I keep them around 40-60 per day.
It's a pain, but I'm getting used to it. I'm really strick about measuring and counting. "Bite it, write it!" so far, that seems to be helping me.
Sparkpeople and mydailyplate also have free tracking programs.
I think there's a mobile app for myfitnesspal too.
Good luck with your fill!!!

Thanks Lin...I write down everything I eat. Sometimes I do worry that I don't get enough or I don't calculate enough...I have a hard time getting in 60 grams a day. I really need to work on that, because like you, I seem to lose more when I eat more protein and less carbs.
Thanks Lin...how are you doing? how much weight have you lost so far?

Hi!
I swear it's so hard to lose weight for some of us!!!
Right now it's not as hard for me as it was in the past, but I'm only 8 weeks out. My body hasn't figured it out yet :) So far I'm satisfied with my weight loss and new eating patterns. I've lost nearly 32 lbs, and I think maybe a little more (haven't weighed myself this week). I'm at the point that I am losing 1-2 lbs per week. I have had one or two weeks with no weight loss (week 6 - seems pretty common as a plateau).
That reminds me, I wonder if you are at a plateau. I've read that plateaus us can last up to a month!!! Alot of people have said that they eat a little more fat to break the plateau. On a medical show (the Drs) recently, they said eat some fat before exercising because it helps you burn better. I've read that too. I don't think anyone should go crazy, but some people have mentioned eating an ounce of nuts, (I think) advocado, stuff like that.
Is 60 grams working for you? My bariatric doc wants me to get 80 minimum and up to 100 grams of protien per day. It helps your muscles mend and build after exercise. You are doing alot of exercise, but maybe your muscles aren't able to repair themselves and build more. My doc also tells me to up my protein and eat more fiber if I'm getting hungry more often.
There's a forum for posting what you've eaten today. It has given me alot of good ideas. It also has made me realize how out of shape I am!!!
Well, that's a long response to your question :)
I hope the fill does the trick, and hopefully you'll be back to losing again!

Thank you Lin so much! You have a lot of great points! How do you get 80 grams of protein? Its hard for me to get 60 grams in...can you tell me what a sample menu for you looks like?
I feel like getting 80 grams in would be me eating meat all day!!! Maybe I will post a question asking for people to post a sample as well...
Thanks again honey, you are very sweet and I enjoy reading your posts!

Hi!!!
today I had:
breakfast:
greek yogurt for breakfast (12 grams of protein)
lunch:
chicken salad with nuts and crasins (16 grams)
snack:
3 oz of turkey breast (17 grams)
dinner:
Oven fried chicken (leg and thigh) without skin (34 grams)
sometimes I drink a protein shake to add to it as well. (muscle milk is 20 grams and 180 calories)
I also eat scrambled egg and slice of turkey bacon or ham for breakfast sometimes. I have added protein powder to a sugar free chocolate pudding. I eat alot of tuna salad too. I do eat alot of meat, which is why my digestion needs some support at times.
I enjoy your posts as well :)
I hope those help :)
