Hi all.  My surgery was yesterday and went very well.  I'm feeling much better than I thought I would.  The worst part was the gas pain.  It comes and goes now.  I haven't even had to take much pain medicine.  So glad to be here!

Congratulations Debbie!

Take it easy even if you feel great.  It may hit you in a couple of days and you'll be more tired than you are now.

I didn't have much pain and only too the meds at night for 3 nights and then it was tylenol all the way.

I hope your entire recovery was as easy as mine.

Best~

Yay! Welcome!  Take it easy and take care of yourself.  I felt great the first day and then BAM... I was beat!  So take good care of yourself and follow your doctor's orders.

Congrats!!!   I recommend any type of stool softener and lots of water.  The anesthesia can do a number on your intestines.  I was up and walking around right after surgery and kept on truckin-and knew where my limits were.  Those pain pills make you feel like superwoman sometimes-haha!!!  I put a timer on my phone to remind me to drink every 15 min-major help!!!!

Good luck on your recovery and try not to over do it!!!  Congrats!!!  Welcome to being banded!!!

Debbie,
We are glad you have joined us on the bandwagon! I had a pretty easy recovery too. My port site took the longest to heal. It still gets pretty sore when I work out too much. Take it easy and good luck!
