Update: had port and tubing removed
Hi all
I posted last week or maybe it was week before about all my problems recently regarding my band and how the band itself was reomved 7/12/11. They left the port/tube in thinking I may want the band put back in later. (long story behind all of that, I didn't want it left in if the band needed to come out, but anyway...)
The Surgeon was not cnnvinced the tube and port were still the source of my abdominal pain. I was, however, certain it had to do with both being left in. Three weeks after the band came out, the port and tube came out (yesterday).
I feel 100x better, I have ZERO abdominal pain aside from incision soreness. I haven't felt this great since mid June. I"m walking, I'm eating, I have no pain... I am so happy. :)
I just wi**** had been taken care of weeks ago when this all first started. I'm quite angry with my surgeon regarding the whole scenario. I've had five ER visits, 3 ct scans, 2 upper gi series, 1 pelvic ultrasound, 1 transvaginal ultrasound and 2 surgeries, all in a months time. All of that was unnecessary. If they had just listened to their patient as a patient vs a $, I would've been good to go when it all started. But at least it seems to be up side now.
