CA bay area support!?

Wondering if anyone is located in the CA Bay Area!? I have been struggling to find a support group, seems like all the ones locally cater to Gastic patients. I go to the meetings and can not relate and they dont understand me either. I had a "friend" who had surgery the year after me, but she is not supportive, she abuses her band and instead of being supportive of me she hates on me becuase of my weight loss (well I follow the rules!!!! Well most of the time!).

So I thought that I would ask here if any of you live near me and would be will to meet up once a month or so?

Sorry, Mell, I don't live anywhere near you, but even here in AR we have Lapband Support Groups and meetings.From what I see, most docs each sponcer their own.  My doc requires that you go to 4 a year.  I've already been to 6 or 7 this year.  His team tries to pair us up with someone that lives in the sameish area.  It sure has worked for me and my lapband buddy. Hope you find one.
