What are we eating this Tuesday?

I love portobello "burgers".  I make them with a roasted red pepper sauce and melted cheese. YUMMY!  Also, that hungrygirl recipe looks good.  I make teriyaki turkey burgers that have a grilled pineapple ring on them.  They are really good too!  Okay, now I'm getting hungry.  LOL.  Time for lunch!

West Tennessee is getting a break from the heat, too, thank goodness. Still sunny and hot, but not unbearable. Feels cool to me after weeks of heat index over 110F.

B: Click Vanilla Latte Protein Shake made with almond milk
S: iced skinny latte with SF caramel
S: granola bar
L: 1/2 of a cod-potato cake (about 2 oz.), 1/4 cup ratatouille (eggplant, tomato, onion, garlic,
bell pepper, zucchini), about 1 tablespoon of shelled edamame
S: "healthy" tortilla chips (that I found in the produce section of the small local grocery store - the
     produce section?!?!)
D: lime-tarragon boneless, skinless chicken thigh, zucchini-angel hair pancake (hopefully
crispy enough not to get stuck on its way down)
S: English-style summer fruit "pudding"

My workouts today were:
> 45 minutes - Pilates class
> unknown minutes - schlepping 2 enormous bags of clothing to Goodwill and 3 large bags of books to donate to the library

Jean, I know what you mean about it feeling cool.  I am so glad to get away from those heat indicies of  110+!    I just wanted to tell you that I made your sloppy joe recipe over the weekend and it was great.  I had it with roasted zuchini and onions and the rest of the fam had it on buns.  I will def make it again.  Thanks for all  the yummy recipes over the years!

Waaahhh! I want a Trader Joe's in my neighborhood!

The closest place for me to buy food here is a convenience store named Lake Road Pizza & Bait. I'll bet you can take a pretty accurate guess at what the food choices are there, but here's a samplling:

Pizza
Night Crawlers
Deep-fried chicken gizzards
Mountain Dew
Beer

Need I go on?

I would HATE not having a TJ's.  I don't do all of my shopping there, but there are a few items that I only buy from them.  Coffe is one of them!    I feel for ya Jean!  I can't  imagine the closest place to buy groceries also selling bait.  But I would love to not live in the city, even if I had to take a long
trip to the grocery store
