Last week a JC Penney coworker saw me holding a juniors' top that had just come in and said, "Are you getting that one?" (in other words, was I buying it for myself).

I said, "I might, but I have to try it on first."

She said, "But why an extra large? That's way too big for you."

I said, "Because I usually wear an extra large in the juniors' brands."

She shook her head and walked away. Later, alone in the fitting room, I discovered that my coworker was right: that extra large top was way too big. The large size I tried then wasn't flattering, so I gave up on it, just happy with the NSV of being too small to wear an extra large.

Yesterday, I wore khaki capris to work. All day I thought, “Wow, these size 10 pants are way too big for me now! I’m going to have to get a size 8! Yeah, me! I’m so hot, I’m sizzling! Etc. etc. etc." When I took the pants off last night, I saw that they’re actually size 12. So much for buying size 8’s. At least I had one day of thinking I’m the hottest old broad in Tennessee!

That is a cute story! I know sometimes we just can't wrap our heads around what size we wear and how to really tell if something fits you properly!

 Great NSV LOL

And here's one of my own.  Dh and I went away to the bahamas to an all inclusive resort.  I pretty much ate and drank what I wanted, of course bandzilla was great about not letting me eat too much.  Came home picked up ds from camp and went up to my friends lake house.  Had a great time, then back to work last week...very busy, stressful but in a good way.

Now the NSV

No weight gain.

Yes, that's right..2 vacations, stress and not being as careful as I usually am...and I maintained.

Nice

Very nice!

On my vacation at an all-inclusive Caribbean resort a few years ago, I managed to gain 6 lbs in 6 days despite good restriction (it was probably the rum punch), but during my vacations in Seattle the past 2 summers, I've actually lost a few pounds!

Yay for all of you, and I was very entertained by the stories. Well, my story is a continuation of one I told about 4 to 6 weeks ago.  To recap, I got so excited because my 16 women's shorts and capris we getting to big so I trotted myself to the OTHER side of the store and collected several 16 misses shorts and capris with confidence.  Could not get them buttoned or zipped, so deflated.  Well now I wear them easily, and because I waited, they were all on sale.
