Day after surgery
VSG on 07/10/12
Hi Ladies
I am 9 weeks post op and I highly recommend you take the pain killers if your doctor prescribed it. I was surprised it was as uncomfortable as it was but the vicodine helped alot. The walking is extremely important for the gas pain. I hear that is very painful.
Good luck and keep your chins up as you just had surgery so there is a recovery period. Don't overdo it like I did and got a hemtoma. Make sure you don't lift anything heavy.

Thanks for the advice. I'm forcing myself to move...walked to the dumpster at end of my street in condo complex and swept the living room and kitchen. As for the pain killers, I have the liquid Tylenol with codeine but I''m very uncomfortable and it makes me sick to my stomach. I find myself wretching and dont want to mess up my incision so I'm not taking it every 4 hours as prescribed. I also have a slight temp 99.5. I'm just gonna get back in bed and rest. (And I have to tell you drinking the Isopure is horrendous, but I'm doing in) Every day will be a better day I'm sure but for now, in the words of my high school students, "I aint feeling it"
