Any January 2011 Band people out there?
Okay, 91 pounds since February?! That's amazing. Please tell me what you are doing. How many calories a day, what your rules are from your surgeon. I've been stalled for close to 3 months and it's frustrating as all get out. My nutritionist pretty much takes the view that this is a lifestyle and don't focus on counting calories. That doesn't work for me because I have the kind of band restriction that I don't get hungry often, but I can eat pretty much anything (and my band is nearly full). I don't have any foods I can't eat or amounts, really, so I need to weigh and measure of plan all of that, so I'm at a bit of a loss.
Ooops, been a few days since I was on...Thanks for the compliments!!!! I have been so pleased with my band and can't believe I will be 6 months out next week.
I lost 10 lbs on my own before my surgery during my 6 month pre-surgery following. I have lost 81 since surgery.
My dr. says no more than 800 calories a day while I'm losing and then no more than 1200 for the rest of my life. I track everything I eat on myfitnesspal.com. I have been over once or twice but I really try to stick to the 800. I eat more protein than anything. I have started following Hungry Girl (shows, books and website). I have used a lot of her recipes. I try not to snack but if I do, its a 5 calorie turkey jerky stick or a 100 calorie pack of something.
I walk about 4 or 5 days a week for about 50 min. I was going to the gym too but when baseball season started for my son, that was out. I need to start lifting cause this extra skin is NOT pretty!
I have a picture of myself from last Sept. at the beach hanging in my bathroom...all the motivation I need!
