Concern: Burning like indigestion cant burp

I'm banded as of 4 days ago. I get this burning sense in my chest like it's indigestion that wont come up and I feel I can't  burp it up. I 've taken gas x strips but not sure what else could do to help this. or is it something i have to deal with?

Having this 4 days after surgery, I'd say call your surgeon's office tomorrow.  They can tell you if it's a common problem, or if you need to come in to the office.  Maybe someone on OH will have an idea of something you can take today to help.

But it may well just be trapped air. Indigestion post op is very common. But just because something s common doesn't mean you shouldn't get it checked.

Try OTC gas meds, walk as much as you can. I found that stretching my arms up to the door frame and holding on fo a while helped! And heat pads are good.

like Kate said plus ..if someone is there with you ...maybe a couple taps on th back ,,,like to burp a baby.....make sure your sipping your water not gulping also ...hope it passes
