purple hair

So so many things are new to me since I have lost 74lbs.
I realize that my band is not the magic pill. If it was it would have changed my inherited slow metabolism.
I lose very slowly there for i sometimes get frustrated.
I must say that losing the weight although I have about 25 lbs to go has changed me in other ways besides the scale.
For instance I went into Jones NY and started heading to the womens department and the sales woman stopped me and told me I was going into the wrong department. I bought size 10 shorts and capris. Unbealivable to me.
I hid behind my weight a lot. Now I feel freer to dance in public, I am even wearing sleevless shirts with my bat wings showing( not a pretty sight).
So about the purple hair- I always wanted to do something funky but never had the nerve. This summer I am working in summer camp and I asked one of the young counselors to help me with my hair . I told her to dye the tips but when she started doing it i told her she could do more. So yes I am a 51 year old women who wears shorts, short sleeve or no sleeve shirts and flaunt my purple hair ( not totally all purple) with pride.
Just some ramblings from the purple haired woman.
I'd love for you too see it but i can't figure out how to post them.

Isn't it amazing what a little confidence will do?  I'm older than you and haven't worn sleevless in YEARS.  This one, being such an extra hot summer, after about a 30 lb weight loss, and months of Zumba classes, I have moved into sleeveless.  Now I have always worn shorts, which my mother so hated, but it's always hot here in AR through part of the summer, so she lost that one.  Now my weight loss fluctuates 38, 40 lbs., and with my vacation where I broke all the lapband rules, probably back to 38, I'm trying to hit it hard so I don't have a weight gain at my docs in a week.  I am a slow loser, but up to this point, the scale has kept going down.  I want it to stay that way.  Keep gaining that confidence and trying new things.  Woo Hoo!
